About

This site is run by one person who makes games and cannot leave old ones alone.

I grew up on games that fit in a few kilobytes and still had more ideas in them than most things ten thousand times the size. Fixed screens. Three lives. A difficulty curve that assumed you had a coin in your hand and something to prove. That is the kind of game I keep coming back to, and it is the kind I build.

There is a particular sort of game I have a soft spot for: the ones nobody remembers. Not the classics that get re-released every few years, but the oddities that came out on the wrong machine, at the wrong time, or from a studio that folded before anyone noticed what they had made. Plenty of them were not very good. Some of them were, and they vanished anyway. Those are the ones worth digging up.

So the games here lean arcade. Pick up in seconds, hard to put down, no tutorial explaining which button does what. If a game needs ten minutes of setup before it gets interesting, it is probably not going to end up on this site.

How this works

Everything here is free and runs in your browser. No downloads, no installers, no account, no launcher. Click a game and it starts. If a game keeps a high score table, you can put your initials on it, and if you would rather not, do not.

Right now the games are mine. Over time I want to open it up to other people making the same sort of thing, once there is a proper way to check what gets added. Quality over volume. There are already plenty of sites with ten thousand games and nothing worth playing.
